Apple has finally listed some of its Black Friday deals over at Apple.com. The company is taking $101 off many of their Macs including the new MacBook Air.

The MacBook Air cited on the teaser page at Apple is the 13.3″ MacBook Air with 128GB of SSD storage and 2GB of RAM. This is a good deal, probably one of the best prices you will see on this new laptop on Black Friday. The MacBook Air has been reviewed both here at Notebooks.com and our sister site Gottabemobile, receiving high praise. Below is our video review:

The MacBook Air has an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, which may seem like a real speed bottleneck. However, the fast 128GB SSD more than makes up for it. Below is a demo of just how fast this computer boots:

The excellent display and keyboard make this a delight to type on, view video, and use for general tasks.

The MacBook Air is not perfect. The limitations of storage and lack of an optical drive will be a hindrance for some. However, the excellent battery life makes the MacBook Air the perfect travel companion.

Keep in mind, some lines have already formed and if you are going to be out in the elements you’ll want a tent, food, someone to watch your spot during bathroom breaks and a coat like the ScotteVest Revolution Plus Jacket with 26 pockets for all your Black Friday gear.

If you are really set on getting something on Black Friday from places like Best Buy or Walmart you should kiss Thanksgiving goodbye and get ready to line up around noon on Thursday, at the earliest. Standing in line on Black Friday isn’t just about getting a good deal. For some shoppers the experience is worth more than the HDTV or laptop that it results in. But, even if you’re having fun there are some Black Friday laptops that just aren’t worth waiting in line for, or even worth staying up late to order online.

Here are some of the worst deals for Black Friday 2010. We hope you’ll avoid these bad buys and look at Five laptops worth standing in line for. You can also view all the Black Friday laptops in a sortable list by store, price, specs and more.

7″ Sylvania Netbook – $95 at CVS

As far as bad netbooks go, this Sylvania netbook is at the top of the list. It doesn’t run Windows 7 like a rel netbook, but instead Windows CE which technically will allow you to get online and edit some text  documents, but  for all but the most basic needs (and someone with lots of patience) this is only to be given to people you don’t like. You can get the Compaq CQ10-405DX for $149 at Best Buy and it’s a real netbook.

Augen 7″ Netbook PC Powered by Android (model NBA7400A) - $89 Kmart

Similar to the Sylvania netbook, this Android netbook which Kmart is selling n Black Friday is not worth the price. Multiple accounts report an incredibly slow operation and since you don’t have access to the official Android Marketplace getting new programs is more trouble than most users will want to go through. Unless you have been looking for an underpowered Android netbook all year, pass for the Compaq from Best Buy.

HP G56-126NR 15.6″ Laptop w/AMD V-Series Processor – $349.99 at hhgregg

If the specs on this $350 Black Friday laptop look familiar, it’s because they are almost identical to the $198 Toshiba Satellite C655D-S5089 Black Friday doorbuster from Best Buy that was on our list of laptops worth waiting in line for. There’s no reason to pay an extra $150 for the same laptop on Black Friday — or any day of the year for that matter.

Sony VAIO EB VPCEB3AFM/WI 15.5″ Dual Core – $399 at Best Buy

At $399 you do get the Sony name and design that is often a price premium, but there’s not enough here to set this VAIO EB series apart from it’s under $400 Black Friday laptop peers.

Toshiba Satellite C655D-S5088 Dual Core 15.6″  – $429 at Office Max

Again, it’s not that this laptop is a bad one, it will meet the needs of many home users, but the price doesn’t justify waiting in line on Black Friday; especially when you can get a similarly spec’d laptop for $100 less!

15.6″ Toshiba Satellite C655D-S5089 – $189.99 at Best Buy

This entry level Toshiba Black Friday laptop deal isn’t extremely powerful, but it should have enough horsepower to handle the needs of home users who just want to get online and work on office documents in addition to watching some YouTube clips or viewing photos. The Toshiba Satellite C655D-S5089 has a 2.3GHZ AMD V series processor, 3GB RAM, 320GB hard drive and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 graphics; it does not have a webcam.

This specific model is discounted 58% or $260 for Black Friday making it a real deal. Be warned, there are a minimum three of these per store so if you want one you better go get in line — like right now.

15.6″ HP G62-340US Dual Core laptop – $329 at Office Max

The HP G62 is one of the most common Black Friday laptop models, but this deal is the cheapest we have seen for a dual core Black Friday laptop in 2010. This line of notebooks looks like it is made of metal like the HP Pavilion dm4 featured below, but it is actually a plastic finish. The G62 on sale at Office Depot comes with 3GB of memory (RAM) and a 320GB hard drive. It’s also configured with an AMD Athlon II processor that ATI Mobility Radeon 4200 series graphics. This should be adequate for many home users who want to surf the web, listen to music and more. you can do some hot editing and multitasking on this laptop as well. If you plan to edit HD video or play games, you need to look elsewhere.

14″ HP dm4-1160us Core i5 – $549 at Office Max

With a shell made out of metal, smaller 14″ screen and the latest Intel technology this portable powerhouse from HP is definitely worth a waiting in the cold on Black Friday. This Black Firdya laptop comes with Dolby Advanced audio for a better audio experience, unlie many stripped down Black Friday deals. The HP Pavilion dm4-1160us comes with 4GB of memory, a 500GB hard drive, 2.66GHz Intel Core i5-450M processor and Intel HD graphics.

17.3″ Dell Inspiron 17R Intel Core i3  - $649 at Dell.com

You can find a cheaper 17.3″ laptop on Black Friday, but the Inspiron 17R from Dell represents a good value thanks to the design and build quality of the R series. This specific model comes with an Intel Core i3 processor, 4GB RAM, a 500GB hard drive and a 1.3MP webcam. It has Wireless N for home networking and runs Windows 7 Home Premium. It should be more than enough for users who want a laptop that can handle multitasking and tackle most home suers needs for photo and video editing.

Apple MC516LL/A MacBook & $100 Best Buy Gift Card Package –  $999.99 at Best Buy

The entry level Mac is good fit for students and many home users who want a long battery life (10 hours) and access to OS X and the pleasures that come with it such as iPhoto and iMovie. The MacBook has an Intel Core™2 Duo processor; 13.3″ LED-backlit widescreen; 2GB DDR3 memory; 250GB hard drive; slot-loading double-layer DVD±RW/CD-RW SuperDrive. You should be able to score a similar deal from MacMall on Apple Black Friday pricing.

This HDTV isn’t 1080P, but then again neither are the shows coming from your cable provider. If you don’t buy a lot of digital content or watch Blu-Ray this is a good deal.

Acer ASPIRE AS5742-7653 – $499 at Office Max

The Acer ASPIRE AS5742-7653 is one of the most fully loaded laptops we have seen for Black Friday 2010 at this price point. If you wait in line for anything, this would be worth it.

HP G72-B66US – $499 at Staples

With the G72 from Staples, you get a large 17.3″ screen fast Intel Core i3 processor and a good helping of RAM and hard drive space to round out the offering.

HP Pavilion DV6-3127dx – $499 at Best Buy

The DV6 laptops from HP are a step up form many of the Black Friday notebooks, even those with almost identical specs thanks to their metal lid which adds to the durability and overall quality of the device.

Epson Moviemate Portable Projector – $499 at Best Buy

This is not an HD projector, but for shoppers who are looking to add a large (up to 300″) screen in the house this is one to check out.

On Black Friday, without waiting in line, you can get a deal on an HP DV6-3013nr Laptop for $524.99. That’s $224 off the HP Pavilion V6-3013nr MSRP of $749.99.

The Pavilion DV6 line is an HP’s mainstream consumer entertainment notebook. It balances portability, performance and styling. These are good workhorse laptops with a  battery rated to run at the the most 4 hours.

This laptop comes with an AMD Phenom II Triple-Core Mobile Processor N830, running at 2.1GHz. It also has 4 GB DDR3 with a max of 8GB supported. The hard drive is a fast 320GB 7200RPM Hard Drive.

The 15.6” HP BrightView LED Display has a pretty average resolution of 1366 x 768 powered by an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 Graphics with 128MB display memory. That is bare minimum HD capable of 720p video.

All of that means this is not a low-powered computer near the netbook quality, like some of the Black Friday deals we’ve seen. It should handle most tasks the average user will throw at it, including the basics like Internet, email and document creation. But it will do a lot more with decent enough graphics to play some video games, of course watch DVDs or streaming HD video, and some video/image editing. At only 3-4 hours of battery life don’t get too far from a power outlet.

It has an 8X DVD±R/RW with Double Layer Support and Dolby Advanced Audio with Altec Lansing speakers. So firing up a movie in the dorm room or around the house will be an enjoyable experience.

This model has the HP Imprint finish with the link design in Argento. It is a brushed aluminum finish, which is a textured and not just a smooth piece of fingerprint magnet plastic. Throw in an HP TrueVision Webcam, integrated digital microphone, 5-in-1 integrated card reader, and this has all you need for Skype and video chat as well as importing digital photos and videos.

To get on the Internet or a home network it has a 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet LAN  port as well as wireless LAN 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi.

There are 4 USB2.0 ports. The 4th port is also a shared eSATA port. There is an HDMI for hooking up to an HD TV for movie watching or doing presentations. Other ports and connectors include a VGA, headphone-out and microphone-in.

An interesting feature is the fingerprint scanner. It will let you log into not only the system, but also favorite web sites with just a swipe of your finger.

There have been a number of these HP DV6 laptops on Black Friday lists from other stores. For example Best Buy has one for about just $25 less with an Intel Core i3 processor and the same memory but slightly more hard drive space. However, Best Buy’s deal will require you to get in line. Also BJ’s Wholesale Club has one for the same price as the Best Buy deal. In fact the one at BJ’s is nearly identical except for the processor is not as fast as the Amazon deal. At only $25 we say go with the Amazon deal, especially over the one at BJ’s. Fair warning; this one has some mixed reviews on Amazon.
