The ‘E’ in this netbook’s name stands for extended battery life and according to Cisco Chang of PCMag the EeePC 1000HE can run for just over six and a half hours on a single charge.

That’s one reason the 1000HE one an Editor’s Choice Award from PCMag.

The extended battery in this netbook doesn’t bulge out of the bottom like some netbooks, but this does give it a bulky appearance and it tips the scales at 3.2 pounds.
