ThinkPad X200 Review


Lenovo officially introduced the ThinkPad X200 today, but was kind enough to send me an early review unit last week. The X200 is Lenovo’s new 12-inch business notebook and it’s been a joy to use for the past few days. VIA OpenBook Opened (video)

VIA’s Tim Brown opens up an OpneBook and shows us the guts of this 8.9-inch mini notebook reference design. The OpenBook has two PCI Express Mini Card slots with 52 pin edge connectors that enable the WiMAX, HSDPA, EV-DO, W-CDMA, WiFi, Blue Tooth and AGPS connectivity.

ASUS 901, 1000 and 1000(H) Launched at Computex

ASUS showed off the Eee PC 901, 1000 and 1000 (H) models today at Computex 2008 in Taipei. The new Eee PCs are more robust and expensive than earlier versions. The low-cost ultraportable market is really heating up and ASUS isn’t standing still.

X300 vs. MacBook Air (video)

The MacBook Air designers had to sacrifice a lot of ports and an optical drive so Apple could claim the title of ‘world’s thinnest notebook.’ Lenovo pokes some fun at the MacBook Air in this video and shows that an X300, the thinnest ThinkPad, can fit inside a manila envelope too.
