Best Buy has some great deals for Black Friday, but they’ll be impossible to get if you’re not already in line. Best Buy’s doors open at 5am local time, but people have been lining up all day long, and in some cases well before then. One family began camping out for Best Buy’s Black Friday deals nine days ago.

All of Best Buy’s doorbuster deals are limited to the quantities on hand. In many cases, Best Buy guarantees a minimum quantity of each Black Friday deal units at each store. Busier stores are often allocated more than the minimum quoted in the Best Buy Black Friday advertisements, but that’s still not enough to satisfy more than the first several dozen customers in line. Many Best Buy stores, such as the main San Francisco Best Buy, already have several hundred shoppers lined up around the block. Unfortunately, that means several hundred people are out in the cold for both the night and the best deals.

Best Buy stores and their attached warehouses are stuffed to the brim with inventory, packing literally hundreds of some popular items into the store aisles. Those items will be relatively easy to buy with modest Black Friday discounts. There’s genereally no need to camp out in a freezing Best Buy parking lot to get those deals however. In many cases, these deals are readily available on BestBuy.com, Amazon.com and other online retailers.

We’ve heard countless stories of Black Friday shoppers being frustrated at not getting the advertised deals. In some cases, even those towards the head of the lines miss out. Some shoppers have accused Best Buy stores of not actually having the minimum advertised quantities of the Black Friday doorbuster deals. In a few cases, Best Buy employees have violated store policies to hoard the deals for themselves, friends and relatives.

Best Buy will be having a quite a few doorbusters tomorrow morning at 5AM for Black Friday. We have covered some of the larger items such as the Nintendo Wii, but we have also taken the time to compile a complete list of all of Best Buy’s doorbusters.

Most of the deals are limited to one per customer with no rainchecks. Also, every item except for the video games, movies, and tv series are only available with a ticket obtained at the door. So if you are looking to score some of these deals, you may want to head out early. On second thought, you may already be too late.

Best Buy will be selling the Sony VAIO VPCEB3AFM/WI laptop for just $399.99 on Black Friday as one of its doorbuster deals. This laptop has an MSRP of $759.99, but Best Buy is quoting the laptop as a $629.99 value in its ad. That’s $230 in savings. Best Buy is also selling a Sony VAIO VPCEB3AFM/WI bundle for $499.99 that comes with extra memory, a laptop bag, Blu-ray Disc player and The Karate Kid on Blu-ray.

The Sony VAIO VPCEB3AFM/WI laptop is a mainstream entertainment-focused laptop. It has a 15.5″ display, which is the most common size on the market. That size is great for getting work done or enjoying multimedia content, but some users will find its 5.9lbs too bulky to cart around every day. This laptop has mediocre specifications. While it will be powerful enough for most everyday computing tasks, you may want to skip this Black Friday deal if you’re a serious video gamer or plan on editing a lot of video.

The Sony VAIO VPCEB3AFM/WI has a white exterior, palm rest, keyboard and display bezel. This differentiates it, at least from a style point of view, from most retail notebooks.

On the inside of the Sony VAIO VPCEB3AFM/WI you’ll find 3GB of memory (4GB on the $499.99 bundle), a 320GB hard drive, and DVD burner. The more expensive version has a Blu-ray Disc player that’s also capable of playing and writing DVDs and CDs.

The Sony VAIO VPCEB3AFM/WI comes with a 2.0GHz Intel Pentium processor, which is not Intel’s finest processor in terms of power or battery life. Best Buy claims that this laptop will last for up to 3 hours and 30 minutes, but that’s under ideal testing conditions. You will likely see far less in the real world depending on your usage pattern.

Graphics are also mediocre since the Sony VAIO VPCEB3AFM/WI doesn’t have a dedicated graphics card or GPU. While HD video should play back alright, it will be impossible to play most of the latest PC video games at reasonable resolutions and settings. If you’re the kind of gamer that enjoys the latest first person shooters, this laptop is not for you.

Best Buy will have a minimum of 10 Sony VAIO VPCEB3AFM/WI bundles for $499 and 10 Sony VAIO VPCEB3AFM/WI laptops for $399 at each store. They will not be available online for this price. If you hope to score one of these laptops on Black Friday, plan on skipping Thanksgiving dinner. This will be one of the first Black Friday laptops to sell out. You will need a ticket to purchase a VAIO VPCEB3AFM/WI. The tickets will be handed out on a first-come, first served basis before Best Buy stores open at 5am.

Best Buy will be selling the Samsung Fascinate for $0 after a $150 credit and various subsidies on Black Friday, but it’s not worth waiting in line for. The Samsung Fascinate is a smartphone that’s being promoted heavily by Verizon, Samsung and numerous retailers. It’s a good enough phone, but this deal is nothing to write home about.

The Samsung Fascinate was recently reviewed by Chris Leckness on our sister site GottaBeMobile.

The Samsung Fascinate has an MSRP of $599.99, which is on par with many other mobile phones. That’s the price you’d have to pay if you didn’t want to sign up for a new two year contract or if you’re upgrading very early. Mobile carriers typically subsidize the up-front cost of smartphones. In exchange, their subscribers agree to long-term contracts that can be worth thousands of dollars, making the subsidy a wise investment for Verizon.

The Samsung Fascinate typically has a $300 subsidy attached to it. But Verizon and most resellers are currently offering additional discounts. Verizon is currently selling the Samsung Fascinate for $199.99 after a $100 discount and $300 subsidy. Wirefly is selling it for $0 and Amazon.com is selling the Samsung Fascinate for $29.99. Amazon is waiving the activation fee on this phone, which effectively brings the cost down to zero.

Obviously it doesn’t make sense to buy the Fascinate direct from Verizon Wireless for $199.99 when there’s all these other deals out there. It also doesn’t make sense to wait overnight in line in front of Best Buy on Black Friday to get the same deal as you can with Amazon, Wirefly and other online retailers.

To make matters worse, Best Buy will only have a minimum of 10 white Samsung Fascinate smartphones and 10 black ones at each retail store on Black Friday. Best Buy is advertising this deal as if it’s something customers should covet, but the truth of the matter is that it’s not much of a deal at all. If you’re already heading to Best Buy on Black Friday for other items you may as well buy your Samsung Fascinate from there, but don’t skip Thanksgiving dinner just to wait in line for this phone.

The Samsung Fascinate is an smartphone that runs Google’s Android mobile operating system. It can act as a mobile hotspot, allowing you to use it to get online with your laptop and other mobile devices. Ut has a 5MP camera that’s capable of recording 720p HD video. Many users prefer this phones’ Swype technology for typing on a touchscreen.

Black Friday is 10 percent preparation and 90% standing in a long line with annoying people. With this in mind we’ve rounded up the opening times for the major places you’ll score Black Friday laptops and HDTV savings of epic porportions.

Keep in mind, some lines have already formed and if you are going to be out in the elements you’ll want a tent, food, someone to watch your spot during bathroom breaks and a coat like the ScotteVest Revolution Plus Jacket with 26 pockets for all your Black Friday gear.

If you are really set on getting something on Black Friday from places like Best Buy or Walmart you should kiss Thanksgiving goodbye and get ready to line up around noon on Thursday, at the earliest. Of course, you can always look for online deals, but retailers don’t always announce when the online sales start.

Best Buy will be selling the Nintendo Wii for $169.99 as a Black Friday doorbuster. The deal will only be available at Best Buy’s retail stores, which will have a minimum of 2o Nintendo Wii units in stock at this price. The $169.99 Nintendo Wii bundle includes Wii Sports, Wii Sports Resort and a Wii Remote Plus.

This might sound like a great deal at first glance, but we cannot recommend waiting in line on Black Friday if this is the only item you plan on buying from Best Buy. Instead, we recommend buying from Amazon.com, which has it for $179, or another online retailer with similar pricing.

Each Best Buy retail store is being allocated a minimum of 10 Black Nintendo Wii units and 10 White Nintendo Wii units to sell at this price. While Best Buy stores will likely have far more than 20 Nintendo Wii consoles on hand, those that don’t get in on the doorbuster deal will have to pay full price.

In order to get this deal you’ll have to show up several hours before Best Buy’s doors open at 5 a.m on Black Friday. Many people will skip Thanksgiving dinner in order to be towards the front of the line. Many Best Buy stores will have hundreds of people lined up for Black Friday before sunset on Thanksgiving.

Best Buy employees will pass out tickets for the Nintendo Wii bundles to the first 20 people who want them in line. Keep in mind that those at the head of the line have the first right of refusal for each deal. This means that the first couple of dozen people in line can potentially gobble up ALL of the Best Buy Black Friday doorbusters, leaving many who campe out overnight out in the cold.

If you’re hoping to get a deal on the Nintendo Wii you may have better luck shopping online. Amazon.com has the same bundle available for $179. The retailer offers free shipping for the Nintendo Wii and does not charge for tax up front, making the difference between the Best Buy Black Friday price and the Amazon deal is negligible.

If you are going to buy the Nintendo Wii bundle with the sports game, be sure your recipient actually wants a Wii. Many youngsters prefer the Microsoft XBOX 360.

Standing in line on Black Friday isn’t just about getting a good deal. For some shoppers the experience is worth more than the HDTV or laptop that it results in. But, even if you’re having fun there are some Black Friday laptops that just aren’t worth waiting in line for, or even worth staying up late to order online.

Here are some of the worst deals for Black Friday 2010. We hope you’ll avoid these bad buys and look at Five laptops worth standing in line for. You can also view all the Black Friday laptops in a sortable list by store, price, specs and more.

7″ Sylvania Netbook – $95 at CVS

As far as bad netbooks go, this Sylvania netbook is at the top of the list. It doesn’t run Windows 7 like a rel netbook, but instead Windows CE which technically will allow you to get online and edit some text  documents, but  for all but the most basic needs (and someone with lots of patience) this is only to be given to people you don’t like. You can get the Compaq CQ10-405DX for $149 at Best Buy and it’s a real netbook.

Augen 7″ Netbook PC Powered by Android (model NBA7400A) - $89 Kmart

Similar to the Sylvania netbook, this Android netbook which Kmart is selling n Black Friday is not worth the price. Multiple accounts report an incredibly slow operation and since you don’t have access to the official Android Marketplace getting new programs is more trouble than most users will want to go through. Unless you have been looking for an underpowered Android netbook all year, pass for the Compaq from Best Buy.

HP G56-126NR 15.6″ Laptop w/AMD V-Series Processor – $349.99 at hhgregg

If the specs on this $350 Black Friday laptop look familiar, it’s because they are almost identical to the $198 Toshiba Satellite C655D-S5089 Black Friday doorbuster from Best Buy that was on our list of laptops worth waiting in line for. There’s no reason to pay an extra $150 for the same laptop on Black Friday — or any day of the year for that matter.

Sony VAIO EB VPCEB3AFM/WI 15.5″ Dual Core – $399 at Best Buy

At $399 you do get the Sony name and design that is often a price premium, but there’s not enough here to set this VAIO EB series apart from it’s under $400 Black Friday laptop peers.

Toshiba Satellite C655D-S5088 Dual Core 15.6″  – $429 at Office Max

Again, it’s not that this laptop is a bad one, it will meet the needs of many home users, but the price doesn’t justify waiting in line on Black Friday; especially when you can get a similarly spec’d laptop for $100 less!

5 Black Friday Laptops That Aren’t Worth the Lost Sleep and Long Lines is a post by Josh Smith from Notebooks.com.

Best Buy will be selling a Nintendo Wii and Samsung HDTV bundle for just $399.99 on Black Friday. If you want this Black Friday deal you’ll need to line up extremely early as quantities will be limited.

The Samsung 32″ HDTV has an MSRP of $444.99, but has been marked down to $327.99  recently. The Nintendo Wii retails for $199.99, which puts the total value of this bundle at $497.98. That means you’ll save $127.99 on this deal, a good chunk of change if you’re already in the market for these two items.

According to Best Buy, each retail location is limited to 40 Nintendo Wii and Samsung 32″ HDTV bundles. Best Buy is not listing a minimum quantity at each store as it normally does on its Black Friday doorbuster items. This could mean that your local Best Buy store will be selling far less than 40 if it doesn’t have enough stock on hand on Black Friday.

Regardless of how many of these bundles your local Best Buy has, you’ll need to be towards the head of the line if you hope to score a new HDTV and Nintendo Wii for $399.99. Best Buy employees will hand out a maximum of 40 people  tickets to a maximum of 40 people. These Best Buy tickets have barcodes and you won’t be able to purchase the Samsung HDTV and Wii bundle without one.

The Samsung 32″ HDTV (model number LN32C350D1D) is a mediocre television and should not be confused with Samsung’s high-end TVs. It will be fine for a small to medium sized living room or a bedroom. One thing to note is that the Samsung HDTV is only capable of playing 720p HD content, not full 1080p HD content. That’s fine considering the Nintendo Wii outputs only 720p content, but it may make a difference if you play on hooking up your Blu-ray disc player or PS3 to this TV.

Another negative about this Samsung HDTV is that it only has a 60Hz refresh rate. That’s the slowest currently available and more expensive HDTVs have a refresh rate of 120Hz, 240Hz or more. The 60Hz refresh rate means that you may see motion blur when watching sports or fast action on the Samsun HDTV.

Keep in mind that the first person in line at Best Buy has the first right of refusal for all tickets. He or she, could for example take a ticket for each and every doorbuster item. The second person in line could do the same, and so on. This means that people are relatively close to the head of the Black Friday line will miss out on all of the best deals. If you show up later than the first several dozen people on Black Friday, you will probably miss out on all of the best Black Friday doorbuster deals.

Many of the die-hard Black Friday shoppers, whom are willing to skip Thanksgiving dinner, will be shopping on behalf of others and buying an inordinate number of gadgets for themselves and family members. Others will be trying to turn a profit by selling their Black Friday purchases to those who missed out on the Best Buy deals on sites like eBay and Craigslist.

In order to avoid one of the biggest Black Friday ripoffs, we highly suggest purchasing affordable HDMI cables for your HDTV and Wii before heading to Best Buy on Black Friday. If you do need to purchase an HDMI cable at Best Buy, ask for the cheapest one that they have in stock, which should be less than $13. Avoid $40, $60 and $150 HDMI cables like the plague.

We don’t encourage buying bundles unless you genuinely want all of the items in the bundle. Before buying this as a gift, you may want to make sure your child (or other loved one) wants a Nintendo Wii rather than an XBOX or PS3.

If you’ve been looking for a good deal on an entry level DSLR camera then this bundle form Best Buy is worth checking out. It coe with everythgin you need to get started; the Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 lens, 4GB memory card and camera bag.

Panasonic Viera 46″ 720p Plasma HDTV (Model # TC-P46C2) $499 at Best Buy

This HDTV isn’t 1080P, but then again neither are the shows coming from your cable provider. If you don’t buy a lot of digital content or watch Blu-Ray this is a good deal.

Acer ASPIRE AS5742-7653 – $499 at Office Max

The Acer ASPIRE AS5742-7653 is one of the most fully loaded laptops we have seen for Black Friday 2010 at this price point. If you wait in line for anything, this would be worth it.

HP G72-B66US – $499 at Staples

With the G72 from Staples, you get a large 17.3″ screen fast Intel Core i3 processor and a good helping of RAM and hard drive space to round out the offering.

HP Pavilion DV6-3127dx – $499 at Best Buy

The DV6 laptops from HP are a step up form many of the Black Friday notebooks, even those with almost identical specs thanks to their metal lid which adds to the durability and overall quality of the device.

Epson Moviemate Portable Projector – $499 at Best Buy

This is not an HD projector, but for shoppers who are looking to add a large (up to 300″) screen in the house this is one to check out.
