What’s the Cheapest iPhone Plan on Verizon?

With the Verizon iPhone arriving on February 3rd for existing customers and for new customers on February 10th, there’s a lot of excitement around the launch. But, there are also questions about the price of plans for the iPhone. We now know that it will cost $20 a month to use the iPhone as a hotspot with 2GB of data and that unlimited data plans will cost $30 with the iPhone, but many shoppers want to know how much the cheapest iPhone plan will cost on Verizon.

Individual iPhone Plan on Verizon:

The cheapest iPhone plan on Verizon will cost $70 a month plus tax. That’s without any text messaging plans which start at $5 for 250 messages.

$40 for 450 minutes peak and unlimited Verizon to Verizon calling + $30 for unlimited data = $70 a month plus tax or approximately $840 a year.

Family iPhone Plan on Verizon:

If you are on a family plan the cheapest price starts at $100 a month plus tax, and doesn’t include text messaging plans. This plan does include 2 lines, but you will need to add another $30 a month if your second line is a smartphone or iPhone.

$70 for 700 minutes and unlimited Verizon to Verizon calling + 30 for unlimited data = $100 a month plus tax or approximately $1,200 a year.

Keep in mind that you can change your monthly plan at anytime without extending your contract which allows you some flexibility, especially if you aren’t sure how many minutes you need.

If you need to turn your Verizon iPhone into a hotspot to get your iPad or laptop online then you’ll want to add another $20 a month to your bill. Also, be sure to keep in mind that the data prices may change after the initial launch.
