McTiVia Wirelessly Connects MacBooks to HDTVs

| January 28, 2011 | 2 Comments

One Mac accessory that’s caught our eye at MacWorld 2011 is McTiVia, a WiFi device that wirelessly connects newer MacBooks to any HDTV. The device mirrors the content on the MacBook’s screen onto the HDTV through the users’ home network. It’s capable of streaming up to 720p video, with about a second or two of lag. It probably isn’t suitable for gaming, but it should be just fine for sharing photos and videos with family.

The device will also work with Windows PCs that have decent graphics capabilities. The McTiVia is not widely distributed in the U.S., but you can order direct at AWindInc.com for $199.99.
