Logitech Announces Wireless Audio Connection for Laptops and Speakers

temp_logitechlogoAt CES 2011, Logitech announced the Logitech Wireless Speaker Adapter for Intel WiDi-enabled laptops. WiDi is a new method of connecting your laptop to an external display wirelessly. Logitech’s solution is intended to be used by people who want to get better sound for listening to music on a laptop. Laptop speakers are often inadequate for quality sound. But people do not want to hook up their laptop to their speakers. This solution looks like something that will solve this problem.

According to Logitech, the setup of Logitech’s Wireless Speaker Adpater is not too difficult. Plug the adapter into the jack on speakers and launch the Intel WiDi software. There is a connect button that needs to be pushed on the adapter, as the next step. It will automatically connect to the adapter and pump the sound through it to the speakers.
