With performance in mind these two IdeaPad laptops can be configured with up to a Core i7 processor with TurboBoost 2.0 which can deliver extra power when needed.

For users who want to game or need a more powerful multimedia experience the switchable NVIDIA GeForce 555M GPU with 1GB of RAM is a good option to look for when configuring the IdeaPad Y series laptops. Because it is switchable users will be able to use the Intel graphics which are integrated into the new Intel Core i processors to save battery life and turn on the NVIDIA graphics when needed for gaming, video editing and more.

The JBL speakers and premium SRS sound round out the multimedia experience with a better audio setup than you’ll find on budget machines.
