Cyber Monday: MacBook Pro for $999 at Microcenter
Apple does not typically discount products, especially its high-end MacBook Pros. But Microcenter, one of Apple’s authorized resellers, is offering the 13″ MacBook Pro for just $999 after a $200 instant discount. The retailer is offering the same deals through Cyber Monday as it did on Black Friday.
The $999 MacBook Pro is the same configuration as the $1,199 model you’ll find at Best Buy and Apple retail stores. It comes with a 2.4GHz Intel CCore 2 Duo processor, 250GB hard drive, 4GB of RAM, Superdrive (DVD), backlit keyboard and NVIDIA graphics.
If you’re budget for a new MacBook is about $1,000 and it will be your only computer, we recommend buying this $999 MacBook Pro. It has a larger hard drive, more ports and a better exterior than the white MacBook, which has an MSRP of $999. The MacBook Pro may not be as light as the 11″ MacBook Air, which is Apple’s latest $999 MacBook, but many will find it challenging to use the 11″ MacBook Air as their primary laptop. The 11″ MacBook Air has a relatively slow processor, small display and just 64GB of storage capacity.
The $999 price tag on this MacBook Pro is the best we’ve seen for Cyber Monday or any day this holiday shopping season.
