Skype Offers Month of Free Calls to Qualifying Countries

In celebration of the World Cup, Skype announced yesterday that it would offer free calls to the USA, Mexico, and many other qualifying countries for an entire month.

Skype has offered affordable international calling rates for some time now, on a monthly or Pay As You Go basis. Now, the company is offering a free month of calling (varying from just landlines to landlines+mobile) to these qualifying countries:

  • Argentina
  • Australia
  • Brazil
  • Cameroon
  • Chile
  • Denmark
  • France
  • Germany
  • Ghana
  • Greece
  • Honduras
  • Italy
  • Japan
  • Mexico
  • Netherlands
  • New Zealand
  • Nigeria
  • Paraguay
  • Serbia
  • Portugal
  • Slovakia
  • Slovenia
  • South Africa
  • South Korea
  • Spain
  • Switzerland
  • United Kingdom
  • Uruguay
  • USA

Be sure to note that after the month of free calling, you will be charged a normal subscription fee unless you cancel it.
