love how the have take the HP envy design to the pavilion models. But yeah, the lines are not necessary. I would be more than satisfied with clean brushed aluminum. Its like a chef who ruins his dish with too much decoration and green leafs.

Eduardo well those lines are not as prominent as the previous coffee theme and they are little more subtle. I have not used this machine long to comment on durability but it does generate less heat than the previous DV6 lineup when running on the built in Intel HD graphics. One of the key factors in purchasing this was the switchable ATI Mobility 5650 card with dedicated 1GB. Similar priced models from other manufacturers sported at most the Mobility 5470 which translates to about 50% less graphics power. So its nice to see some better than average features on a mid priced machine. Also the Dolby advanced audio has much better tonal clarity across the range than SRS premium sound. Internal speakers are another matter as the Altec Lansing set reminds me of my cell phone speaker which is not saying a lot. The JBL on my Dell 5010n Berry do much better. The machine I got was the DV6-3015TX purchased from Sri Lanka. It comes with an I3 350M. The dealer told me this was an Asian model purchased in bulk from Singapore.

While I really love the new aluminum design and look, I always have to wonder why HP can't make something as simple as possible, they always have to come and add those silly lines all over the place. Wouldn't it be easier for them to make something subtle instead?. Also, the colored models look horrible. But overall an improvement from previous models.
