		<description>Nice article - it&#039;s good to let people know that there&#039;s an ever-growing landscape of free and/or open source alternatives to the big industry players. Although I do agree with joe bob - video editing/compositing in particular is one area where currently there&#039;s no real substitute for paying the big bucks.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;One small correction though - unlike GIMP, Paint.NET is windows only, not cross-platform.</description>
