Fujitsu LifeBook MH380 Review

Laptop Magazine was able to get its hands on the new Fujitsu LifeBook MH380, which is Fujitsu’s first Pinetrail (Atom N450) powered netbook and has posted a full review of the Lifebook MH380 online.

While the first thing that Laptop Magazine notes is the beautiful design and color of the MH380, you’ll really want to pay attention to the review of the keyboard the mousepad, which may be proof that opposites do attract.

Given my lofty keyboard criteria I am hoping to try a Fujitsu MH380 out for myself to see if Laptop Magazine’s description of the keyboard as, “one of the best netbook keyboards yet,” holds true.Unfortunately the mousepad is incredibly small, and even looks out of place in the picture, which limits its usability. The reason it is so small is the scrollwheel that sits next to it for scrolling through webpages, which is cool but it’s hard to sacrifice the size of a normal trackpad.

As far as performance goes, Laptop Magazine found it sluggish at times, but quick to switch between tabs even with music streaming. They have a full set of performance metrics ran for the MH830 so you can see how it stacks up to other netbooks with the Atom N450 processor.

If you’re looking for an all day netbook, the 6.5 hours that Laptop Magazine were able to get from the Lifebook might be a little short, but it is better than previous generations and will suffice for many casual users.
