New MSI Wind netbooks using new Intel Pine Trail processors

msi_windThe folks over at MSI have wasted no time in wanting to use Intel’s new Pine Trail line of Intel Atom-based processors in their new 2010 netbook line up.

The two new Wind netbooks, the U130 and the U135, use the N450 chip will will greatly enhance the battery life for these machines.  Something every netbook user would like to have without needing to bring a power cord everywhere.

Specs on these two netbooks:

  • Both the U130 and U135 have 10-inch LED backlit screens with 1,024 x 600 pixels.
  • The first model has a 160GB HDD, the latter 250GB. 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3.5G WiMax are listed, along with stereo speakers and a 1.3-megapixel webcam.

Unfortunately, the US wont be seeing these new netbooks anytime soon.  These new models are being released over in the UK first.  But, lucky for us, overseas shipping doesn’t cost that much.
