Thank you for an easy to understand article. (in most instances) I am not sure how to print from the virtual machine, I have attempted to save a Photoshop CS3 to a dvd in order to print it, but it seems to exist in a different plane than the HP machine. Can;t figure this out yet. I will reread your article, maybe its there and I missed it.
Thanks again.

Avoid Sony VAIO like the plague. I have a less than one year old, >$2,000 paperweight, because Sony cripple this laptop in the BIOS. No VT-x, even though the Intel processor supports it. They have stated they "may support it on selected laptops", and have released BIOS updates for a few. Most Microsoft servers are now 64 bit, and you need the VT feature to run them in VirtualBox, Hyper-V, or MWare. My company will no longer buy Sony laptops.

My laptop is a Thinkpad T60. The CPU does not support hardware based virtualization. It forced me to look for Windows XP Mode alternative.

I have tried VMLite XP Mode (www.vmlite.com). It does not require hardware based virtualization. So far so good. It does pretty much the same things Windows XP Mode does, but much faster. The only thing definitely needs improvement is the USB drive support.
