The new Windows 7 task bar and menu may work for you but there are plenty of us out here who find it a mess! Why programmers decide how I want to work with a computer is beyond me. This smacks of Apple "Do it my way!".

If these tools work for you great but why remove options to work in other ways. Windows 7 interface is a big miss for me!! It all gets in the way of doing what I need to do on "my" computer.

Hi gokul,

Please understand that shortcuts pinned to the Taskbar are simply shortcuts that allow for quick productivity task such as Thumbnail Previews and Live Previews of the application. The ability to interact with application as a Live Preview is not possible, you will need to click it and use the application.

Hi adka,

I am not using any specific theme in this article, just the default Windows Aero Glass Theme that comes with Windows 7. Some of the wallpapers are from my personal collection along with some of the sample pictures from the Pictures Library. (Click Start > Pictures).

If you would like download addition themes you can do so by Right clicking the Desktop > Click Personalize > in the Personalization explorer, click the 'Get more themes online' link.

You can also learn more about themes and personalization from our Notebooks.com article:
http://www.notebooks.com/2009/11/10/making-wind...

Hi Sandy,

Thanks for the comment and question. I should note, the version of Adobe Photoshop I used in this article is version CS3. Only Adobe Photoshop CS4 includes a 64 bit release which probably might have some architectural differences, while the 32 bit version might not support some contextual menu changes in that release. In conclusion, Photoshop CS4 is not a fully supported product under Windows 7, since it was released a year before Windows 7. I should also note, the architecture of Windows 7 I was using when I took those screenshots was Windows 7 32 bit. Third party application support right now for WIndows 7 through Jump List is a bit inconsistent and sporadic.
