You really well. Same here is problem too long more than 6 hours. I don't see the "Remaining Time" give us let know a how long complete. I think Microsoft not very bad idea a upgrade in too long hour without tell me what happened the upgrade. We thought it was freeze or unrepsonse from progress. I gave result it's lack design score 1 out of 5 stars.

I am exactly where you were: just upgraded to Windows 7 and now looking for my Windows Mail files to use in Windows Live Mail. Did you get a definitive answer where to find / how to restore or link to these files?

Hi, Great article but having upgraded from Vista to W7 I'm having trouble finding where my Windows Mail is so to transfer to Outlook.

I trusted what it stated;

# Windows Mail is no longer included in Windows; however your e-mail files and settings will still be available after the upgrade. To send and receive e-mail you will need to install a new e-mail program. You can get e-mail programs from other software manufacturers or from the Microsoft website.

Any assistance would be appreciated as I've lost all Mail and Contacts.

[...] Â So we are now back on Windows Vista and we have booted to the desktop. Our next step, will involve, doing an in place upgrade using the final version of Windows 7 (upgrade or full version). Of course, I am upgrading from Windows Vista Ultimate SP2 64 bit to Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit because they are logical, corresponding editions. To start the installation, insert your Windows 7 DVD, click Install Now. To learn more about doing an in place upgrade, please check out the following article here [...]

Do you have any information regarding how Windows 7 upgrade would affect the factory recovery partition? I performed a in-place upgrade to Windows 7 but the recovery partition no longer works by pressing the F# button at start up. Any advise for people planing an upgrade so that the recovery partition will not be affected? Thanks.
