I also use mesh.com for dynamic backup and syncing of my "working" directories of personal and work documents and favorites, syncing the home server, desktop and laptop. Next goal is to have off-site backup. I’ve gone the Windows Home Server route, with 2 disks, for duplication.

Too often they, myself included in my younger years, feel that this catastrophe couldn't possibly happen to them again. If they're lucky they've done one backup since the last crash! After failing to track update times on my wife's computer we opted for Mozy simply because it always works without any need for her to take action. For me, knowing that her thousands of irreplaceable photos are safe is a huge relief. In my experience it takes 2 major losses before most individuals stick with a backup strategy.
