Nice! I've always browsed to about:config and changed the key:

browser.fullscreen.autohide

to False, and then just use the [F11] key to fullscreen my Firefox.

That is GREAT! A very noticeable improvement via increased viewable space, less (no)clutter, aesthetically & functionally optimized. I don't see any form of Compact Menu or even Personal Menu, however. Either I'm missing it---or where'd you put the useful text menu entries(from File Edit etc)? Also, in keeping Firefox lighter, did you use Menu Editor or similar? Using autohide for the statusbar is terrific. Use to enjoy a FFx addon "Autohide" but can't find it anymore. Like what you did w/Personal Bookmarks T-Bar, too--icons only. I can use this on my non-netbook w/o installing Faviconize. Thanks for this new info. I really like Meerkat.
