New Gateway NV Series Notebooks

Gateway’s updated its NV Series of affordable notebooks today. The Gateway NV notebooks start at just $499 and offer a number of easy-to-use features, including one-touch power savings and one-touch backup.

Gateway NV notebooks come in several configurations including two base models that you’ll likely find discounted even further in the coming months. Gateway NV notebooks have a 15.6″ widescreen display and can be connected to external displays via HDMI or VGA ports.

At $499, the Gateway NV5214u is the most affordable NV notebook. It comes with an AMD Athlon X2 2.1GHz processor, 4GB of RAM, 320GB hard drive and ATI HD3200 graphics.

    I just bought one the other day. For what I need a laptop to do these days, this is perfect. It’s fast and performs well. Two minor downsides is is take a bit to boot up, and the mouse is a bit jumpy, but those two pale in comparison to this machine’s performance.

    I’ll get back to ya in about 6 months to see how it is then!
