I do work for MacSpeech. (Sorry, I thought this would be more clear. The "Website" field adds a link that is hidden.)

We don't monitor and respond to every web site or forum...nor should we, as these spaces belong to the community. However, we do try to read important publications and blogs. And this review was such a good example of a first-time user's experience with MacSpeech Dictate, I wanted to provide a helpful comment: After 45 minutes, the next step for most users would be finding the refinements that would improve both immediate results and long-term product use.

Are you associated with Mac speech dictate? If so, please please please J, get your company to be more user-friendly and improve the customer support.

On any forum or review that mentions Mac speech dictate, you will find comments like this. Does MacSpeech Dictate actually listen to each users? If we felt appreciated, listened to and answered your company could have a huge following. As it is, I could keep finding comments like this was really take away from the value that your software could bring to people.

I absolutely have to agree with the above comment about Mac speech dictates customer service. I am dyslexic and have been using this product on and off since it was Ilisten. I have had numerous problems installing the application and getting it to work. On each upgrade, (costly upgrades) I have had to contact customer support. On only one occasion, the last one, have I had a timely response.

Mac speech dictates customer support badly let down what could be a very good company and product.

BTW I am using Mac speech dictate to enter this comment.

Come on Mac speech dictate -- get your act together!

Dictate requires a digital mic, such as a USB headeset. You can't use analog mics or Bluetooth headsets. It's one of the negatives compared to Dragon Naturally Speaking.

Have you been able to use your Jawbone? Because mine does not show up as an available choice even after I have selected it as an Input Device in the Sound Preferences. It works fine with Skype, but Dictate doesn't see it so I can't create a profile.

Anyone with any luck on that?
