The GPU is the Right Processor for Video Applications
I explained earlier that one of the key reasons NVIDIA went to a downloadable driver model for notebooks was to enable new features for customers with capable graphics processors (GPUs). The backbone to this is NVIDIA CUDA technology and the emergence of consumer applications that benefit from parallel computing, which is where GPUs really excel.
AT&T Selling $49 Netbooks, ThinkPad X200 at Select Retail Locations
AT&T announced that it is selling subsidized netbooks for between $49.99 and $349.99 with the purchase of a two-year mobile broadband contract. AT&T will also offer the Lenovo ThinkPad X200 with an integrated 3G modem for $849 with a 2-year AT&T DataConnect plan. The netbooks and ThinkPad will be available in a handful of AT&T stores in Philadelphia and Atlanta on a trial basis.

I’m in Las Vegas checking out the CTIA wireless convention this week which encompasses all things wireless and mobility. Showstoppers is a media-only event that showcases companies the night before major conventions and I had a chance to see some of the goodies and I’ll share what I found below.
