I never found a touchpad or eraser head I liked.

I did not have an opportunity to try touchscreen yet - that looks promising to me. The best solution I used was a mini trackball located on the front edge of the laptop, perfectly positioned for use with either the left or right thumb (the keyboard was near the front of the laptop, no touchpad); there were right and left buttons on each side of the ball, but one could press the ball to do a left click - very comfortable, great control. Too bad laptops are too thin these days for this type of solution...</description>
