anyone thats interested, i just went and picked this one up, its charging right now but its beautiful, the pictures do not do it justice. the screen is more of a wide rectangle rather than the square it looks like in the display picture though (not a complaint, just letting you know)
i ordered mine online. no problems

i got mine the first radio shack i went too. but if i was like 2 minutes later i would have not gotten it. so i guess i got lucky. i love the computer. it runs really fast at first but as time goes on it starts to slow down. and i have a problem with the connection to wifi. it seems to have to get reconected constantly or it wont load. so it can be screwy. but i kind of blame comcast. Also the webcam was great at first but now you need to go outside just so the webcam can have anough light. but when i got it. it could use just an amount of light as a candle to be able to see your face. so the webcam kind of sucks. but i dont use it that much. so that is ok. but over all it is a real good computer.

When I first got this computer I was so psyched it worked really well and it was so pretty with the metallic key board and all. Then as it got older (1yr)it reset itself erased EVERYTHING pics, vids, programs etc. and it got slower until it started freezing up every time I got on it. I can’t even do a task manager anymore(CTRL+ALT+DEL. So I talked to a computer engineer (family friend) and he told me to reload the operating system. So I asked my cousin to reload it for me but he didn’t, instead he accessed a restore point. I was so happy cause it started working smooth again then after about 9-12 months later it started acting up again then one day when I turned on my computer it said that the CPU fan was busted. So I called the computer engineer again and he said that buying and installing a new fan is a piece of cake and if I do so that could be the root of my problems (freezing up). So now I am out searching for a new CPU fan I was going to call gateway customer service but you have to pay to talk to them. So now I can’t do anything on my computer till I get this fan. I am so pissed at radio shack and gateway because they knew that this computer was stale from the start the computer was probably refurbished and they wanted to make s quick buck. Don’t get me wrong I love this red computer it is my first and only laptop and it has sentimental value but it has caused a bit of trouble.
If any one knows where to find a CPU Fan for this computer BLOG PLEASE or e-mail me at fakephony27@yahoo.com
and if any of you have had some of the same problems I’ve had please let me know.
Have a pleasant DAY
Diana
Oh I almost forgot it can be called a heatsink or a CPU fan.
