HP techs are quick to tell you HP does not warrant the screens even though they are aware of the widespread defect. It starts as a black spot on your screen but eventually stripes all the way across it. HP techs told me to pray for a recall because unless that happens, I can expect to replace my screen every 6 months. There are so many other options out there, I'm planning on going with another brand. Unfortunately, the screens on all G60 series are prone to breaking.
