After being directed to not use any batteries marked with prefix Gc, as for they are subject to recall, I had entered all necessary information on the HP website for the replacement. Oddly enough, HP is telling me that my particular battery is not subject to recall. Hhhhhmmmmmmmm. Interesting isn't it? Way to go HP! Wonderful H.P. does it once again!

After being directed to not use any batteries marked with prefix Gc, as for they are subject to recall, I had entered all necessary information on the HP website for the replacement.
Oddly enough, HP is telling me that my particular battery is not subject to recall. Hhhhhmmmmmmmm. Interesting isn’t it?

But having kept the battery barcode sticker and then disposing of my smoking battery years ago, what do I do? HP will send me out a new battery but I don't have the old battery to send back in the recall!
