"going to be a hit amongst my wife’s peers- professional women who are sick and tired of lugging around ugly a** notebooks."

Not just women are sick of this. I use a Dell day in day out with a lot of travel. I hate the ugliness of it. The pismo was sexy (in sex in the city too). My 12" pb is still better looking than any pc notebook I've seen. The deal breaker for me (and my wife whi is due a new machine) on the "AirBook" is is the glossy screen. I'd like firewire but I would live without it. (The glossy screen is also the dealbreaker on the new iMac for her).
I reckon that the Airbook is going to bea huge success not because of portability (it is too big) but because it is beautiful and functional for 99% of computer users who just need a fancy typewriter with internet access.
