I got the A215-S7413 in the circuit city deal for $399 and added another GB of RAM to make a total of 2GB. Everything is OK with this laptop except for the wireless connection, which is very unstable. It keeps dis-connecting often randomly. It will automatically reconnect. Sometimes it is frustating. But it is manageable for home use.

Buying the A215-S7428 with an extra 1GB of RAM for an extra $100 was a bad suggestion. I got the A215-S7413 for $399 at Circuit City, then spent the extra $100 at ZipZoomFly.com and bought 4GB of RAM for my new A215-S7413 - yes, it'll take up to 4GB. Wiped the bloatware-loaded hard drive, installed a fresh copy of Vista Ultimate 64-bit, and it screams like a rocket! Not bad for five hundred bucks...

Office Depot will have the similar Toshiba Satellite (A215-S7428) on sale for $100.00 more as their "Black FRiday" computer laptop special: It has 2GBs of RAM and a 160 GB hardrive but is otherwise identical to the above model. It's a smarter buy for $100 more, because Windows Vista runs much faster and more smoothly with 2 GBs of RAM (according to Consumer's Reports).
