Mine still works since Nov. 2007 when I bought it but it takes ages to boot, if I shut it for a few minutes to do something it shuts down, and somehow someway internet radio starts up somewhere in the background and I can't find out where so I have to mute. Programs stopped working on it, it deleted windows media player one day =(, it has a mind of it's own. I think a virus may be in there for other issues I have. Can't wait to get a new one....scratch that, I can't wait to get an HP. I have the same complaints as the last guy. Oooh it turns on I assure you, however it doesn't do much of anything after that. Now I have a 5.55lb paper weight..... thank you Gateway for inferior product...In fact, in order to try and find a solution to my current situation for my crapway. I'm on my Dell Inspiron 8500 I got in 2003, hhmmmm this still works in 2009. Got my gateway in 2007 and craps out in 2009... Don't risk it! DON'T BUY GATEWAY PRODUCTS!!!!!! DO NOT BUY THIS LAPTOP!
