Intel Details Silverthorne, Future Ultra Mobile Devices

intellogo.gif Intel’s Mark Parker walks us through a few future Ultra Mobile PC concepts and talks about the Silverthorne chip. The new Silverthorne processors are tiny, with 2500 of them fitting on a single wafer.

Intel’s hoping for mass adoption of the UMPC form factor in the coming years. Silverthorne and future chips will be extremely power efficient.
