Just found a Gateway ML3109 at a BestBuy store on 09OCT07 for $349. As expected with 512mB it was slow…., but BestBuyy also had Kingston 1.0GB DDR2 for an incredible $39. I added this in two or three minutes to bring the notebook up to 1.47 gB and it screams! The video card is simply AMAZING ! Total price under $400 with 1.5gB

I bought a ml3109 years ago, it was under 350$. It can’t handle vista worth $41T but does well on XP. Don’t expect her to work hard. Worth it tho. Wish it had a small yearly visual upgrade for the same price. 4 years of use. 1st the left click button broke in half, mouse pad wore off(it has a rough plastic texture) then the videocard followed by the battery. I had a pink bar across the bottom of the LCD be4 it took a major dump. Lasted long tho. I give it a B+. RIP my 3109
