Gold SanDisk CardSanDisk is running a promo in Hong Kong that will turn some lucky winners’ CF and SDHC cards into gold. Mobile tech shoppers who buy either SanDisk’s Extreme IV 8GB CompactFlass or UltraII 4GB SDHC cards will have the chance to win a gold version of their memory card purchase. The gold CF card weighs in at 150g and worth $4,969, while the gold SDHC card weighs in at 35 grams and is worth about $2,408.

    Gold versions of SD cards? Why don’t these idiots instead figure out how these things are supposed to work on the various machines in the market? My Sony Vaio only reads 1 GB and my HP laptop only 2 GB cards, and NO-ONE has any drivers or support. Shame on Sony, HP, SanDisk for lousy product support and hyping vaporware. SHAME!!!
