The Classmate PC is a $250 to $400 notebook for students in emerging countries, and Intelâ€â„¢s answer to the OLPC project. The Classmate PC runs Windows XP and is powered by an Intel Celeron M processor, 256MB of memory and feature at least 1GB of flash memory in lieu of a hard disk. The machine is tiny compared to most notebooks, with childrenâ€â„¢s small hands in mind.
